The Han River is officially frozen today due to the cold wave from the Arctic that continues day after day.

Is the Han River frozen?

The cold wave from the Arctic is strong enough to freeze the flowing river.

Even now in the middle of the day, the frozen river does not melt at all, and there are such thick pieces of ice frozen around the river.

I’ve been reporting the freezing situation through the Han River from the morning, and I’ll throw this ice cube to see if the river hasn’t melted at all in the afternoon.

Currently, as the strong cold of around 10 degrees below zero continues, the river continues to freeze.

The freezing of the Han River this winter is four days earlier than normal, and it has been two years since the winter of 2018.

The Arctic cold wave that froze the Han River is expected to continue tomorrow, a holiday.

With cold weather warnings all over the country, tomorrow morning the temperature will be -21 degrees below zero in Cheorwon, 19 degrees below zero in Paju, 15 degrees below zero in Seoul, 14 degrees below zero in Daejeon, and 10 degrees below zero in Daegu.

Tomorrow’s daytime temperature will be 2 degrees below zero in Seoul, 1 degree below zero in Daejeon, 1 degree in Gwangju, and 2 degrees in Daegu.

Amid the cold wave, it is snowing in Jeju, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo with heavy snow warnings.

By tomorrow morning, there will be more than 20cm of snow in the mountains of Jeju, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and up to 10cm of snow on Jeju Island.

On the west coast of Chungnam and the west coast of Honam, there may be places with 1 to 5 cm of snow.

From tomorrow afternoon to night, I will come back to the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong, and Honam about 1cm.

The strongest cold wave will gradually ease from next week.

From next Tuesday, the daytime temperatures in Seoul will recover, and the cold will not be severe for the time being.

As severe cold waves continue day after day, snow on the roads does not melt and forms ice.
