Although we officially apologized for the recent issue of’Fate/Grand Order’ provided by Netmarble, users are not convinced. It is pointed out that Netmarble’s apology is not clear and that it is due to not properly explaining the cause.
On the 6th, Netmarble posted an official apology regarding the suspension of the’Pego’ Start Dash campaign. The Start Dash campaign is a New Year event that supports new and existing users. Users can receive items of considerable value when they log in every day during the event period of two weeks.
The problem arose when Netmarble temporarily suspended the event on January 4th at 9pm. Netmarble did not accurately explain the reason for the suspension of the event for three days.
In the’Pego’ community, I heard that the reason for stopping the event is different from that of other countries. Unlike Korea, the event in Japan, China, and global servers only benefited from new users. As this content became known to Japanese server users, the issue of event discrimination arose. Accordingly, Netmarble urgently stopped the event.
Through an apology, Netmarble △ did not provide details in the process of stopping the part where the Start Dash campaign was applied differently than intended △ Due to insufficient preparation, the Start Dash campaign was “wrong”, causing users to misunderstand △ He promised to quickly identify and guide the error phenomenon in the last issue, but he admitted that he failed to keep it as a work fault. Netmarble revealed that it was an error to receive compensation for existing users.
However, some of the’PegO’ community pointed out that this event is not the only thing that Korean users are’discriminated’. Unlike other countries, Korea’s’Peg-O’ does not have an April Fool’s Day event or a commodity reward event through live broadcasting. In Korea, other events are insufficient, but only the Start Dash campaign targets all users, and it was pointed out that this also targets only new users as discrimination against existing Korean users.
A Netmarble official said, “Stop the Start Dash campaign is the decision of Netmarble, the operating entity,” and said, “This campaign targets new users, but existing users benefit from it in Korea. For the same service of Fate/Grand Order, which is in service around the world, we decided that it was appropriate to maintain the existing direction of the campaign and stopped it.”
Next, an official from Netmarble said, “There is no discrimination against Korean services as if they were concerned,” regarding the point that Korean users are discriminated against other server users. “Korean services are based on the same contents as the original service. This is not conducted in Korea. Some campaigns don’t make a big difference in rewards by paying bonuses through other campaigns.” He said, “I will do my best so that there is no misunderstanding or confusion in the future.”
