It was found that the prices of domestic and imported used cars fell at the same time as the used car market faced a low-demand season.
On the 8th, Enka.com, a domestic car trading platform, released used car prices this month. The average price of domestic cars fell 1.65% compared to last month. In terms of the lowest price, Hyundai Motor’s’Grandeur IG’ gasoline model price fell 5.01%, showing the largest decline. It can be purchased for as low as 18.96 million won.
In terms of the highest price,’Sonata New Rise’ fell 6.96% and’Avante AD’ fell 5.92%. The popular vehicle, the large sports utility vehicle (SUV),’Palisade’, also fell 0.45% from the previous month.
Imported used cars also fell 1.64% compared to last month. The model with the biggest price drop was the Volkswagen’Tiguan 2nd Generation’, with the lowest price going down to 2,514 million won. Sedans of three German companies such as Audi’A4 (-3.84%)’, Mercedes-Benz’C-Class (-3.36%)’, and BMW ‘5 Series (-3.11%)’ also showed a downward trend.
Park Hong-gyu, head of the business division of Enka.com, said, “As the low-demand season in the used car market lasted until this month at the end of last year, the market price for used cars has generally declined.”
