The Geobig Data Open Platform was established for the purpose of quickly organizing and providing research information on geological resources at home and abroad, which is pouring out, to solve problems in the public society and to create an open science research ecosystem in the field of geological resources.
Geobig Data is ▶Free digital version of geological subject systems such as geological maps, submarine geological maps, and geophysical abnormalities purchased by customers in euros. Open API and data disclosure including more than 130,000 geologic resource research reports and domestic and international research papers search function ▶Providing a vivid and realistic geologic theme system through 3D-based integrated search ▶Research data with DataOn, a national research data platform Provides a linkage integrated search service, etc.
In 2015, the researcher was certified as an International GeoSample Number (IGSN) registration agency for the first time in Asia, and can assign an internationally recognized unique identification number to geological samples such as rocks and drilling cores. International geological sample numbers are listed on all geological samples provided by the Geo Big Data open platform, providing higher reliability for research data analysis.
In order to spread and spread the geobig data open platform service, the researcher plans to hold a’geological resource research data utilization contest’ this year for university students, graduate students, professional researchers, and industry.
