Gyeonggi-do concludes pilot operation of non-face-to-face gas safety cyber monitoring group for hiring the disabled

The operation of the’Gas Safety Cyber Monitoring Group’ conducted by Gyeonggi Province, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and Korea Online Shopping Association was completed last year.

The’Gas Safety Cyber Monitoring Group’ was operated from October 5 to December 24 last year to prevent gas accidents by creating non-face-to-face jobs for young people with disabilities who are having difficulty in finding employment and eradicating the sale of illegal gas products online.

Nine youth with disabilities residing in Gyeonggi-do were hired as youth interns of Korea Gas Safety Corporation and worked from home.

During the period, the’Gas Safety Cyber Monitoring Group’ inspected 39,867 online gas product sellers and surveyed 2cks940 cases of suspected illegal sales.

As a result, 161 cases of illegal sales were discovered, and the Korea Gas Safety Corporation sent a sales suspension cooperation letter to the Korea Online Shopping Association and each shopping mall, contributing to preventing the distribution of dangerous gas products and securing public gas safety.

As a result of the survey of workers, the government is planning to prepare a plan for continuous business promotion in consultation with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, as positive evaluations on job content and necessity, such as 81.7% job satisfaction and 84.4% willingness to work again, were confirmed.

Gyeonggi-do Climate Energy Policy Manager Kim Gyeong-seop said, “Amid the prolonged Corona 19 and economic recession, job shortages continue, the operation of the gas safety cyber monitoring team has achieved both effects of creating jobs for the disabled and securing public gas safety.” I will try to find a job.”
