“Hello. I’m Ha Sung Kim from San Diego. Nice to meet you all.”

Kim Ha-sung confidently introduced himself in short English at the first press conference with the local media in the United States.

Ha-Sung Kim signed a contract with San Diego, the winner of the 4+1 year, for up to 39 million dollars and 42.4 billion won in our money.

Prestigious clubs like Boston offered good conditions, but chose San Diego to win the World Series.

“I know that it is a team that can win, so that part touched me. I have the hope that it would be nice to be able to win the rookie king.”

As Kim Ha-sung’s main positions at shortstop and third base, Tatis Junior and Machado are holding up, so there is a high possibility to play as second base.

Local media predicted that Kim Ha-sung could turn to the outfield, but the San Diego club reaffirmed that he would use it as an infielder.

“I will do well wherever I am. I invested in the belief that it will be a great strength to our team, and I am confident that I will show a good image.”

San Diego Special Advisor Park Chan-ho, who helped Kim Ha-sung select a team, also accessed a remote interview and raised his thumb.

“(Park Chan-ho) advised me, you can do well. The Padris team is a really good team and has the best conditions.”

Ha-sung Kim, who is currently in self-quarantine in Korea, plans to depart for the United States next month and start a full-fledged challenge.
