Ahead of the declaration of an emergency, the number of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) new confirmed and the most dead in Japan was found.

According to the local public broadcaster NHK on the 6th, 4,915 new confirmed cases of Corona 19 in Japan were identified the day before. Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 254,152.

The death toll increased by 76 to 3,769. The number of new confirmed cases and deaths per day in Japan broke the record.

Shigeru Omi, chairman of the Corona 19 Countermeasures Subcommittee, said at an interview the previous day that the situation of the spread of Corona 19 in the metropolitan area is the most serious of the four stages.

Accordingly, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga is scheduled to declare a corona 19 emergency on the 7th.

The emergency will be issued for about a month in four metropolitan local governments, including Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, and Chiba Prefecture.

The Japanese government considers drinking parties to be the main route for the spread of infection, and it is expected to focus its administrative power on inducing the reduction of business hours at restaurants.

To this end, the Asahi Shimbun reported that the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Special Measures for New Influenza and other countermeasures will be amended so that the names of restaurants that do not respond to requests for reduction of business hours from the heads of regional governments will be revised.

In addition, requests for unnecessary outings or movements in the metropolitan area are encouraged, and telework is actively implemented, and restrictions on the number of entrances to various venues are strengthened.

However, even if an emergency was declared, it was decided to proceed as scheduled without requesting the closure of schools in Japan.
