Amid the rapid re-proliferation of Corona 19 around the world, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore are attracting attention while maintaining’zero (0)’ new infected people. These three countries, called the Asia’s quarantine model trio, are evaluated for containment of collective infections through strict quarantine, inspection, and enormous fines.
According to the Nikkei Asian Review on the 6th, while South Korea and Japan are suffering from measles due to the re-proliferation of corona, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore are steadily maintaining zero corona infections. Nikkei analyzed that the three countries’ quarantine guidelines had in common: strict quarantine, extensive screening, and tracking of infection routes.
In Taiwan, only one confirmed Corona 19 as of last month. The biggest factors are enormous fines and strict quarantine measures for violations of quarantine measures. Earlier, the Taiwanese government enacted a special ordinance for Corona 19 that imposes high fines of up to 1 million Taiwan dollars (38.91 million won) to quarantine violators.
Vietnam, which has consistently managed the quarantine system with a cumulative number of only 1497, is repressing secondary infection by identifying and quarantining close contacts through active disclosure of information on infected people, Nikkei analyzed.
On the other hand, large-scale infections continue to occur in Korea and Japan. In the case of Korea, in the early days, it used the phrase as’K quarantine’ as a model country for quarantine, but recently, home-based infections have occurred in detention centers and nursing homes. In Japan, there are more than 4,900 confirmed cases a day, and an emergency is being declared.
