According to a certified copy of the register of the apartment in Naeson-dong, Uiwang-si by Deputy Prime Minister Hong on the 4th, ownership of the apartment was completed last month. The trading price was reported as 920 million won. Deputy Prime Minister Hong purchased the apartment in March 2013. At that time, the sale price of apartments sold by Deputy Prime Minister Hong was 15,33 million won per 3.3 square meter, or 600 million won. It is known that it has made a profit of about 300 million won for 7 years.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong, who acquired the Uiwang apartment in 2013, became a multi-homed apartment by receiving the right to sell in Sejong City with a special supply of public officials at the end of 2017. When real estate prices surged last year, the government recommended high-ranking multi-household officials to dispose of all houses except for one house. Deputy Prime Minister Hong promoted the sale of Uiwang apartments in order to become the first house. This is because Sejong City was designated as an overheated district, and the resale of sales rights was restricted.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong signed a contract for the sale of the Uiwang apartment in August last year, but the tenant who was living in the house said that he would not leave the house by exercising the right to apply for contract renewal, and the sale was in danger of being misfired. The revised Housing Lease Protection Act, which went into effect in July last year, allowed tenants to exercise their right to apply for contract renewal six months before the end of the contract period.

As the tenant decided to continue living, the landlord who purchased Hong’s apartment was unable to move in, and was in a situation where he could not receive a loan for the purchase. The government newly designated Uiwang as an overheated speculative district in the June 17 real estate countermeasures last year. They bought an apartment in the area and moved to the location within 6 months when they received a mortgage loan.

Afterwards, the tenant changed positions again to vacate Hong’s house and was able to sell the Uiwang apartment as scheduled. Deputy Prime Minister Hong is known to have paid eviction support money to tenants in the name of consolation money in the process.
