Yes, as of 0 o’clock today, there were 657 new cases.

It decreased from 824 the previous day to nearly 200 in one day.

After 689 people came out on the 11th of last month, the number of confirmed cases has come down to 600.

However, it seems that the number of diagnostic tests for the New Year holidays has decreased significantly compared to weekdays.

It is an analysis that it is still too early to judge that the spreading trend has declined.

Looking at the route of infection, there were 641 domestic outbreaks and 16 foreign inflows.

There are still many infected people in the metropolitan area.

Seoul 195, Gyeonggi 201, and Incheon 48, with 444 new patients.

In the non-capital area, new patients were confirmed in all 17 provinces nationwide, including 33 in Gangwon, 26 in Gwangju and Chungbuk, 21 in Daegu, and 19 in Busan.

Eight out of 16 confirmed overseas inflows were confirmed during the quarantine stage.

The additional death toll is 20 and the cumulative death toll is 962.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders was reduced by 6 to 355.

Distance measures to be applied from tomorrow were also announced.

Yes, special quarantine measures during the year-end and New Year period are in effect until today.

The government announced yesterday a new measure that will take effect tomorrow.

We have decided to extend the current distance between the 2.5th stage of the existing metropolitan area and the second stage of the non-metropolitan area by two more weeks until the 17th.

This is a judgment in consideration of the fact that further strengthening of distancing will result in a greater impact on the economy of the common people, and the ability to respond to quarantine and medical care is maintained until now.

Instead, the ban on private gatherings for more than 5 people, which was applied in the metropolitan area, is extended nationwide.

However, there are areas that are alleviated.

Academia in the metropolitan area is allowed if the number of teachers is 9 or less in consideration of the care gap during vacation.

Winter sports facilities such as ski resorts are allowed to operate until 9 p.m. with a capacity limit of one-third.
