A woman in her twenties died in a drinking accident on the first day of the new year… 20 years old driver

On New Year’s Day 2021, a man in his twenties who killed a woman in her twenties while drunk and drove was caught by the police.

According to the Gwangju Mining Police Station on the 2nd, at around 10:5 pm the previous day, Dr. A (28), who was drunk in Suwan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, had an accident hitting three vehicles in a row while driving his SUV.

Mr. A got a signal at the crossroad and ran into a stopped taxi in the first car, and then ran away.

Mr. A, who was running for about 1km from Suwan-dong to Jangdeok-dong, invaded the central line at a crossroad near Jangdeok-dong Golot Bridge and collided the opposite car head-on.

At the time of the second accident, Mr. A shocked two cars, and Mr. B (27, female), the driver of the car in front, was seriously injured. B was taken to a nearby hospital, but eventually died.

The car that stopped behind Mr. B and the taxi driver, the victim of the first accident, suffered minor injuries and are undergoing hospital treatment.

Mr. A was caught by the police dispatched to the scene after the second accident. Mr. A’s blood alcohol concentration was confirmed as the number of license cancellations.

Mr. A got into the first accident after drunk driving and ran away, and in the second accident, he invaded the central line and killed himself, so he was accused of violating the Act on aggravated punishment for certain crimes.

The police are investigating the exact details of the incident and reviewing the application for an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
