The operating hours of the Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Hydrogen Charging Station are open year-round and operate 14 hours daily from 8 am to 10 pm. On average, 60 hydrogen cars can be used per day, and up to 5 cars can be charged per hour based on Hyundai Nexo. Charging time takes 3-6 minutes per unit, and the selling price of hydrogen is 8800 won per kg.
At the same time as the opening of the hydrogen charging station, Hinet will use 7 eco-friendly shuttle buses in the airport. The hydrogen shuttle bus, which operates from the beginning of this month, is scheduled to consist of routes through Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, long-term parking lot, logistics complex, and cargo terminal station.
When 4 charging stations including Incheon Airport are opened, Hinet will operate a total of 10 charging stations along with 6 charging stations including the existing National Assembly and the Government Complex Sejong. According to the Hydrogen Convergence Alliance Promotion Team, a public-private consultative body for promoting hydrogen supply, as of the end of last year, there were 48 hydrogen charging stations installed nationwide.
In addition, Hinet is planning to build an additional hydrogen charging station at Incheon Airport Terminal 2 in the first half of this year. Terminal 2 is a hydrogen charging station exclusively for buses, and it is expected to be able to charge 40 hydrogen buses by supplying an average of 1,000 kg of hydrogen per day.
