Kiwoom Heroes without a parent company sent Kim Ha-seong (26) to the major leagues and earned more than 6 billion won.

Kiwoom, who collected the transfer fee by sending Park Byeong-ho to the major leagues as a post after Kang Jung-ho in 2015, earned considerable income from this Kim Ha-sung contract. By advancing three well-raised players overseas, they received a total of 23,377,000 dollars (about 25.4 billion won).

San Diego officially announced that it had signed a four-year contract with Ha-sung Kim on the 1st (Korean time). Depending on the mutual option, you can play up to 2025.

According to Kim Ha-sung’s agency, Kim Ha-sung signed up to $39 million (about 42.4 billion won) in San Diego a year. It has a four-year guarantee of $28 million, with options up to $32 million. At the end of the fourth season, you can receive up to $39 million in five years for the mutual option execution.

Kiwoom also took advantage of the monetary interest along with the justification that Kim Ha-sung made his dream of entering the big leagues come true.

The Korea Baseball Commission (KBO) revised the’Korea-US player contract agreement’ with the major league secretariat in 2018. Accordingly, the posting method has changed. In the past, the club with the highest bid fee (posting amount) had an exclusive bargaining right with the player, but changed so that 30 clubs can freely negotiate.

Transfer fees are also set in proportion to the player contract size. When the total guaranteed amount is less than $25 million, 20% of the transfer fee is charged. In the case of $25 million to $50 million, add 17.5% of the amount exceeding $25 million to $5 million, 20% of the $25 million.

In the case of Kim Ha-seong, the four-year guarantee is $28 million, so Kiwoom receives 5 million dollars plus $525,000, which is 17.5% of $3 million, plus $555,000 (about 6 billion won) as a transfer fee.

This is not the first time Kiwoom has collected a huge posting fee for a player transfer.

In 2014, he sent infielder Kang Jung-ho (34) to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a post and received 5 million and 2015 dollars (about 5.5 billion won). In 2015, the following year, by posting signboard hitter Park Byeong-ho (35) to the Minnesota Twins, he collected a transfer fee of $12.85 million (about 14.1 billion won).

When Kim Ha-seong is added this time, the total amount is 23,377,000 dollars (about 25.4 billion won).

Kiwoom was able to earn a large amount of money through the transfer of the main players to overseas expansion, even in the midst of controversy over the so-called’baseball game’ and suspicion of fan inspection by Chairman Heo Min.
