According to the World Energy Market Insights from the Korea Institute for Energy Economics, the Ministry of Finance of China recently released a’Notice on Renewable Energy Power Price Subsidy Budget for 2021′.
According to the notification, the subsidy for renewable energy electricity prices in 2021 is 5.9.5419 million yuan, and by renewable energy source, solar power generation is about 3,38437 million yuan, wind power generation is about 2.31121 million yuan, and public renewable energy independent system is 19883 million yuan. , Biomass power generation was allocated about 59.7 million yuan. The public renewable energy independent system refers to a power system in the renewable energy sector built with state investments or subsidies that can self-solve the production and supply of power without relying on the power grid.
In 2020, due to the lack of financial resources for renewable energy power price subsidies and the plan to achieve grid parity for renewable energy generation sources, it allocated 5.7 billion yuan, a 30% cut from 8.1 billion yuan in 2019. Subsidies in 2021 increased slightly from 2020, with wind and biomass decreasing by won, and solar power generation and public renewable energy independent system sectors significantly increased.
In 2021, three provinces, Shaanxi, Hunan, and Guizhou, were newly added to the subsidies, and in 14 provinces, Neimenggu received the most subsidies, totaling 5.1688 million yuan.
The subsidies are planned to be paid first to projects related to public welfare such as underdeveloped solar power generation areas, distributed solar power generation for self-generation of 50 kW or less, and independent public renewable energy systems.
