Decision to postpone 3 hours before the game
Son Heung-min’s 100th goal is also postponed to early next year
Son Heung-min (Tottenham)’s challenge for Tottenham’s 100th goal was eventually postponed until next year. This is because Tottenham’s last match this year was postponed in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The Secretariat of the English Professional Football Premier League (EPL) reported that the 16th round of the 2020-2021 EPL of Tottenham-Fulham, scheduled to be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on the 31st at 3 am (Korean time) due to Corona 19.
The official announcement was made about three hours before the kickoff. Earlier, in the weekly COVID-19 diagnostic test conducted by the EPL secretariat, several of the Fulham officials or players tested positive, raising the possibility of postponing.
From the 21st to the 27th, a total of 1479 players and club staff were tested, and 18 people tested positive. In the meantime, the number of confirmed cases came out in 17 tests.
Prior to this, many of Manchester City-Everton’s Gyeonggi Provinces were confirmed to be corona19, and the schedule was pushed back. After discussion, the secretariat decided to put the health of the athletes and employees first.
EPL announced, “Because most clubs besides Fulham have fewer corona19 confirmed cases, other schedules will continue as scheduled,” and “Tottenham-Fulham’s game will be rescheduled later according to procedures.”
