Samsung Card announced on the 30th that it held the ‘1st Samsung Card Data Analysis Contest’ Untact (non-face-to-face) awards ceremony.

This competition was conducted to expand the data analysis base of domestic and foreign university students and graduate students and to discover creative ideas. The awards ceremony was held at the Samsung Main Building in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 29th.

A total of 20 million won worth of prize money and a plaque were awarded to the winning team.

Team YBIGTA, which won the 1st prize in the’Online Merchant Visiting Customer Prediction Algorithm’ category, built a model with a soft voting approach that combines the probability values ​​of the results of several tree-series algorithms (XGBoost, LightGBM). If this model is used, it is expected that the performance of predicting customers visiting affiliated stores will improve, and this can be useful for data-based marketing.

The HomoMarketers team, which won the 1st place in the’Marketing Strategy to Overcome the Pendemic Era’ category, under the theme of’Post Corona, Marketing Strategy to Lead New Consumption’, Suggested ways to activate App Card.
