As of 1:25 pm on the 30th, Samsung Electronics is trading at 8,100 won, up 1800 won (2.30%) compared to the previous day. During the market, it rose to 8,200 won, replacing the previous highest price of 8,100 won.
On this day, Samsung Electronics started the market with 7,400 won, down 1.15%, but increased the rise in the afternoon. Samsung Electronics Woo is also recording 73,200 won, up 1.39% (1,000 won).
It can be interpreted that expectations for an improvement in the semiconductor industry next year are working.
On that day, Korea Investment & Securities raised its target price from 81,000 won to 92,000 won, saying that the foundry value will begin to reflect on Samsung Electronics.
Yoo Jong-woo, a researcher at Korea Investment & Securities, said, “Samsung Electronics is still having difficulties in securing 5nm technology yield, but its share price is rising due to expectations of the growth of the foundry market. It will lead to further increase in business competitiveness and business value.”
KB Securities analyzed that it should pay attention to Samsung Electronics’ sales.
Lee Eun-taek, a researcher at KB Securities, said, “Samsung Electronics’ profits have soared, but sales have been completely stagnant for 7 years (2013-2020).
However, recently, Samsung Electronics’ sales estimates have increased in eight years. As Samsung Electronics writes its release sheet to enter new business (foundry, image sensor, etc.), the aggressive move is being reevaluated by investors.
“Samsung Electronics’ valuation will end its derating (undervaluation),” said Lee. “Even with the same operating profit, 59 trillion won in 2018 and 58 trillion won in 2022 cannot be the same.”
Meanwhile, thanks to the rising trend of Samsung Electronics, the KOSPI is also continuing its highest price march.
It has surpassed 2850 points for the first time in history and is nearing the 2860 line.
