Local media reported that an old man who was vaccinated against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) was killed in Israel, and authorities began an investigation.
According to Times of Israel on the 29th (local time), the Israeli Ministry of Health said that the day before, a 75-year-old man living in northern Betshean died at home a few hours after being vaccinated against Corona 19.
The man was in good shape after receiving the Corona 19 vaccine developed by American pharmaceutical company Pfizer and German Bioentech at 8:30 am at the hospital on the 28th, but soon lost consciousness after arriving home. The cause of death was determined to be heart failure, local media reported.
The Israeli Ministry of Health said in an initial investigation that there was no link between the death of the elderly and the vaccine, and that the deceased suffered from diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
This is the first time in Israel that a vaccine vaccinated for COVID-19 has been known to have died in hours.
The Ministry of Health announced that it would form a committee to investigate the case.
Israel has started large-scale COVID-19 vaccinations for medical professionals and the elderly since the 20th, and so far, about 500,000 people have been vaccinated.
