On the morning of Christmas Day on the morning of the 25th (local time), reports that a vehicle explosion in the middle of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States, may be related to the so-called ‘5G paranoia’ is drawing attention.
According to Fox News on the 27th (local time), the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that the suspect Anthony Warner, 63, said, “5G networks are tools for spying on Americans.” We are investigating whether it is related to the motive of this incident.
Earlier on the morning of the 25th, a vehicle explosion occurred in front of the AT&T building, a telecommunications company in downtown Nashville, and three other nearby vehicles were burned down and 40 buildings were damaged. Three people were injured in the explosion, and human remains were also found inside the vehicle.
The FBI is investigating Warner’s own explosives within the exploded vehicle. Warner was an internet engineer, and his father also worked for AT&T for years. The explosion also stopped AT&T services in Nashville.
However, the FBI said, “It is difficult to determine the motive for this case yet,” Reuters reported.
