It is known that the government has decided to maintain the 2.5 stage of’social distancing’ for the time being. As special quarantine measures are being implemented for the year-end and New Year holidays, which is stronger than the third stage, it is judged that it is necessary to observe the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The government will hold a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (Company) presided over by Prime Minister Chung Sye-gyun at 3 pm this afternoon to determine additional quarantine measures, including whether to raise the distance. Currently, the weight is placed on maintaining the 2.5 stage rather than the 3 stage upgrade.

A government official said in a call with the Hankook Ilbo, “There are already three more powerful measures, such as’prohibition of gathering more than 5 people in the metropolitan area’,” and “we plan to supplement detailed quarantine measures while observing the effects of the current measures for the time being.”

It seems to have taken into account the situation in which enormous social and economic damage is expected if the social distancing is raised. When the third stage is applied, the business of 2,300,000 facilities will be suspended or restricted. However, there is also considerable pressure that the number of new confirmed patients should continue to be upgraded to the third stage of 1,000 loans.

At a briefing on the 26th, Jung Eun-kyung, head of Bangdae Headquarters, said, “In addition to the 2.5 steps, we are monitoring the trend by implementing special quarantine measures nationwide throughout the year-end and New Year period. “There is a concern that it will continue to be reviewed with local governments and ministries.”
