Japan blocks entry of foreigners until the end of January next year

Japan will suspend entry for new foreigners from the 28th of this month to the end of January next year. The new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) is a measure that comes with the number of confirmed cases per day changing the highest for the fourth day, and even cases of variant corona 19 infection have been confirmed.

The Japanese government urgently announced on the 26th that it will temporarily suspend entry for new foreigners regardless of country or region.

In addition, if a Japanese or foreigner residing in Japan enters the country from a country where the COVID-19 variant occurs, they will require proof of Corona 19 testing within 72 hours before departure, and additional testing will be conducted upon entry.
