It was Samsung Electronics that led the KOSPI 2800. Samsung Electronics’ stock price, which remained at the 73,000 won range in the middle of this month, surged more than 5% (7,7800 won) on the 24th, and came close to ‘80,000 electrons’ at once. On the 23rd, LG Electronics recorded an upper limit on the news of establishing a joint venture for electric vehicle powertrain with Magna International of Canada, the world’s third-largest auto parts maker. As expectations for the KOSPI 3000 are growing next year, it is characterized by the fact that the institution made a net purchase worth 860 billion won last week by supply and demand. The agency has sold 1.9 trillion won worth from the 1st to the 18th of this month.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 26th, the KOSPI for the fourth week of December closed 1.01% from the closing price of 2778.65 on the 21st to 2806.86 on the 24th. The weekly increase is not large, but when you recall that it fell 1.6% to 2733.68 on the 22nd, then rose 2.67%. This week is particularly noteworthy in that the KOSPI has crossed the 2800 line for the first time ever. Until now, the KOSPI has never exceeded 2800. As such, it was possible to climb to the’unexperienced’ area thanks to Samsung Electronics, which accounts for more than a fifth of the KOSPI market capitalization, breaking the record high and raising the index.

Meanwhile, by supply and demand in the KOSPI market, individuals net sold 95.2 billion won, while foreigners and institutions net bought 50.6 billion won and 860.7 billion won, respectively.
