There were 688 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) nationwide during one day on the 23rd (at 6:00 pm).
According to the health authorities, as of 6 p.m. on that day, confirmed cases were found in 16 cities and provinces excluding Sejong among 17 metropolitan units.
The number of people decreased by more than 40 from 730, which was the same time as the previous day (22nd), but it is expected to reach the level of 1,000, considering additional confirmed cases during the night.
By region, the number was 230 in Gyeonggi, 192 in Seoul, 49 in Incheon, 42 in Gyeongbuk, 36 in Chungbuk, 35 in Busan, 18 in Gangwon, 17 in Daegu, 16 in Gyeongnam, and 15 in Chungnam.
In addition, there were 13 in Gwangju, 9 in Ulsan, 6 in Jeonbuk, 5 in Jeju, 3 in Daejeon, and 2 in Jeonnam.
The spread of the’Bucheon Hyoplus Nursing Hospital’ in Gyeonggi-do is not serious, with confirmed cases still appearing one after another in relation to’nursing facilities’ across the country.
