[미디어펜=김견희 기자]Seegene announced on the 23rd that it has received the ‘2020 Korea Job Merit Award’ in recognition of its contribution to creating jobs as a leading company in the K-Defense Prevention of Corona 19.
Organized and supervised by the Presidential Jobs Committee, this commendation is awarded to a total of 20 places, including individuals, private companies, local governments, and public institutions, who have made outstanding contributions to job creation and quality improvement and contributed to the job committee activities. Seegene received a commendation for its contributions in the private enterprise sector.
Seegene is taking the lead in creating jobs by hiring 93% of the total workforce last year in 2020 alone. In particular, the company has strengthened its future global competitiveness by hiring not only biotechnology experts but also people in various fields such as information technology (IT), software (SW), mechanical engineering, mathematics, and industrial engineering. With such unprecedented hiring, Seegene’s number of employees, from 316 at the end of last year, is expected to reach about 630 as of the end of this year. Seegene plans to continue recruiting new jobs and is determined to take the lead in creating excellent jobs.
