Does the turnout also vary according to real estate? While the main vote of the Seoul Mayor’s by-election is in progress, the turnout of Gangnam 3 districts as of 1 p.m. was found to be significantly higher than the overall turnout of Seoul.

According to the summary of the Central Election Management Committee, the total turnout was 40.6%, with 3.41,6735 people participating as of 1 p.m. in the by-election of the mayor of Seoul. From 1 p.m., the pre-voting rates that took place on the last 2-3 days have also been added.

By autonomous district, the turnout of Gangnam 3 districts (Gangnam, Seocho, Songpa) exceeded the average turnout. Seocho-gu’s turnout was 44.6%, the highest among 25 autonomous districts, and Songpa ranked second with 42.7%. Gangnam-gu (42.2%) also ranked fourth after Jung-gu (42.3%).

Gangnam District 3, which is said to be the garden of a conservative party, has a relatively strong support for the People’s Power candidate Oh Se-hoon, so if this trend continues, the political world analyzes that it could be advantageous to Oh.

On the other hand, Geumcheon (36.0%%), Gwanak (37.8%), and Guro (40.0%), which are called Geum, Gwan, and Gu, were less than the average turnout. These regions, located west of Seoul, are classified as regions with relatively strong ruling party support. Jungrang (37.5%), Gangbuk (38.2%), and Eunpyeong (39.4%) also recorded relatively low turnout. In particular, the turnout of Guro-gu, including the former district (Guro-eul, Seoul), where the Democratic Party candidate Park Young-sun won the third election, ranked 16th out of 25 autonomous districts. On the 6th, Candidate Park also posted a handwritten letter appealing for votes, saying, “This is your Guro-bak, Park Young-seon” to Klyang, a friendly community. Candidate Park is nicknamed’Kurobak’ in some online communities.

However, since there is still a lot of voting time left, it is not known whether the current flow of voter turnout will continue. The voting is held until 8 pm.
