It is expected that Korean companies will lead the world’s largest electronic and information technology (IT) exhibition’CES 2021′, which will be held online for the first time in four days from the 11th (hereinafter referred to as local time in the United States).

Due to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), the event is held entirely online, and the number of participating companies has decreased more than in previous years, but after the host country, the United States, Korean companies are the most involved to introduce new technologies and products.

According to the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which hosts CES on the 10th, the number of companies participating in this year’s event was 1,951, down by less than half from last year. In particular, a large number of Chinese companies that once swept CES are absent.

Accordingly, 567 US companies and 340 Korean companies participated to lead CES. The participation aspect of Korean companies also varies from large companies to small and medium-sized companies and start-ups. At CES 2021, the core theme is’Homeconomy’, which is said to have expanded the house to a space for various economic activities beyond a residential space due to Corona 19. In addition, artificial intelligence (AI), 5th generation mobile communication (5G), next-generation displays, and automobile/mobility, which accelerate non-face-to-face daily life, are also cited as major topics.
