The tiger came down to town in hunger… Dog Hunting’Capture’

A scene of a tiger from Baekdu Mountain descending to the village and eating a dog was captured in the Chinese Autonomous Region of Yanbian, Jilin Province, China.

According to local media such as Yanbian radio and television broadcasting on the 8th of local time, a video of a tiger hunting from a distance of 7 to 8 meters has recently spread online in China.

In the video, the dog who was guarding the house bark in one direction, then turned his head to go in the other direction, and the tiger immediately approached from behind and bit the dog’s neck.

The photographer said, “Recently, tigers have come to the village frequently to eat dogs and sheep. Probably because it has snowed a lot and food is scarce,” he said. “After waiting for 15 days, I caught the hunting scene.”

He explained that the villagers heard the barking of the dog and went outside to save the dog, and the photographer also came along to protect and restrain the residents to watch the hunting scene up close, and also made eye contact with the tiger for 7 to 8 seconds.

The photographer said, “At the time, I was very thrilled to see a real tiger, but it was scary to think about it after time.”

The number of tigers continues to increase as the Chinese authorities designate and protect the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park, and as a result, there are reports that residents encounter tigers.

On the 2nd, a woman in the Korean-Chinese Autonomous Region of Yanbian uploaded a video about her encountering a tiger while leaving work with her colleague.

Authorities urged “to pay attention to information about the distribution of tigers and leopards, and to refrain from activities in areas where tigers may appear.”
