The price of gasoline that entered the 1,500 won range in one year  Seoul is 1,600 won

Gasoline prices at gas stations nationwide rose 17 weeks in a row, exceeding the 1,500 won level.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation’s Oil Price Information Service Opinet on the 20th, the average sales price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the third week of March (3.15-18) was 1,517.4 won per liter, up 18.8 won from last week.

It has been one year since the second week of March last year that the state average gasoline value has exceeded 1,500 won.

Domestic gasoline prices have been rising since the end of November of last year, and the recent weekly gains are expanding to 9.7 won, 15.6 won, and 18.4 won.

The average selling price of gasoline in Seoul, the nation’s highest priced area, rose 16.7 won to 1,602.6 won per liter from last week, and the price of gasoline in Daegu, the lowest priced area, rose 22.4 won to 1,493.5 won per liter.

By brand, gasoline from SK Energy was the most expensive at 1,525.0 won per liter, and gasoline at a budget gas station was the cheapest at 1,488.4 won per liter.

The sales price of diesel at gas stations nationwide was also totaled at 1,316.8 won per liter, up 18.4 won from last week.

International oil prices, which have been rising recently, have been flat this week.

The average price of Dubai oil, which is the standard for crude oil imported into Korea, was $66.6 per barrel, down 0.3 dollars on average from last week.

International gasoline prices rose by 0.7 dollars to 74.4 dollars per barrel, and international automobile diesel prices rose by 2.2 dollars to 72.2 dollars per barrel.

The Korea Petroleum Corporation analyzed that “international oil prices remained flat due to rising factors such as the US economic stimulus movement and the increase in China’s refining throughput, and the falling factors such as a strong dollar index and an increase in US petroleum product inventories.”
