The torch relay, the first official event of the Tokyo Olympics, began yesterday after twists and turns.

However, there was even a Buddha statue that suddenly went out on the way.

The Olympic torch, which was postponed due to Corona 19 and stored in the lantern for the past year, is transferred to the torch.

The first runner, the former women’s national soccer team, attaches a torch to the torch and finally starts sending the torch.

“As a revival Olympic and Paralympic Games, I would like to hold the best event that conveys hope and courage to the world.”

Starting with Fukushima Prefecture, the torch is scheduled to run in 47 regions across the country until the opening date of July 23, with 10,000 runners.

However, due to Corona 19, it has been simplified from the departure event to non-audience.

Prime Minister Suga was also absent, and major broadcasts were not broadcast live, so the atmosphere of a polite festival could not be found.

“Please be sure to wear a mask and cheer with a clap instead of a loud voice.”

Suddenly, the flame of the torch disappeared.

Around 1:30 pm, the torch around Fukushima Prefecture was turned off, and it was urgently needed to light it up again.

In Namie-machi, close to the Fukushima nuclear power plant, we encountered protesters against the hosting of the Olympics.

“The fishing of Ukedo is already over because radioactive contaminated water is flowing!”

To make matters worse, the number of corona confirmed cases is also increasing again.

The host city of Tokyo has lifted the emergency declaration, and the number of confirmed cases has surged to around 400 again.

Two places, including Miyagi Prefecture, declared their own emergency when the government slowed.

Overseas visitors have already given up, and public opinion in Japan is often canceled and re-acted.

Also, depending on the Corona 19 situation, some countries and athletes may declare absent as last year, so there are still many variables until the Tokyo Olympics.
