[아시아경제 조현의 기자] Pope Francis urged countries around the world to distribute the Corona 19 vaccine to poor countries on the 4th of Easter (local time).

Pope Pope said in the Easter message that day, “due to the pandemic, the number of poor people has increased rapidly and the despair of many has increased.”

“Everyone, including the most vulnerable, needs help and has the right to access essential care,” he said. “Please dedicate the international community to take responsibility and to overcome supply delays while ensuring that poor countries get adequate vaccines.” He asked.

The Pope criticized the continuing of the armed conflict as “a shame” as the socio-economic crisis intensified due to the Corona 19 outbreak.

At the same time, he praised the youths of Myanmar, who protested to restore democracy in the face of the military coup, as “dedicated to supporting democracy and speaking out a peaceful voice.”

Meanwhile, the Pope’s Easter message this year was carried out in St. Peter’s Cathedral with only 200 believers and priests watching.

To block the spread of Corona 19, the Italian government has imposed a blockade, such as restrictions on going out nationwide and the closure of non-essential businesses such as restaurants for three days on the 3rd to 5th day of Easter.
