In some areas, such as Seoul, Gangnam, and small apartments with a 10-pyeong unit per room, the tax is also paid. The apartment price in Bangbae-dong, owned by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum, also surpassed 900 million won this year, with a 38% increase in public prices.

This is a 46.4% increase from the published price in 2020 (483 million won). Compared to the 10.8% increase compared to 2019 (436 million won) in 2020, the rise is steep. This did not stop at the Gangbuk area of ​​Seoul. The official price of 59.69m2 for’Gwacheon Raemian Central Suite’ in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do is expected to be set at 992 million won this year. This is an increase of 12.2% from last year (884 million won). The official price of 59㎡ exclusively for’Botdeul Village 4 Complex’ in Pangyo, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, is also levied at 95 million won.

In the case of high-priced apartments in the Gangnam area, small apartments with a size of 40 m2 (10 pyeong) or less for a single room have also entered the ranks of high-priced housing. Professor Shim Gyo-eon of Konkuk University said, “In general, an increase in the tax burden puts downward pressure on real estate prices, but this increase in the tax burden is foreseen. It is expected to be difficult.”
