Nexon Korea announced that it will disclose all information on probabilistic items that apply to games in service and games to be released in the future.

Nexon said, “In addition to the previously disclosed capsule-type items, we will fully disclose the probability of’paid enhancement and synthesis’.”

Currently, domestic game companies are disclosing probabilistic item information according to industry self-regulation. However, many pointed out that the probability disclosure is insufficient because only the probability of drawing the paid-purchased’capsule type’ (random box) item is disclosed.

Recently, there are many games that give paid probability to reinforcing items such as weapons and armor, but this probability is not disclosed at all, so it has been criticized as a representative charging element of the latest multi-access role game (MMORPG).

Nexon will first disclose information on this day for the Maple Story’Cube’ item, which has recently been controversial for manipulation. Nexon said, “After thorough investigation and verification internally, we will disclose the probability of cube items during this day,” and “We will include all detailed figures including the probability of upgrading the cube grade.”

It also introduces a’probability real-time monitoring system’ that allows users to directly verify the probability. This is to relieve the concerns of users that the probability that the game company has disclosed and the actual probability may be different.

Nexon said, “We aim to apply the probability real-time monitoring system within this year. We will build an open API method to create an environment that users can trust.”

On the other hand,’Maple Story’, one of Nexon’s games, revealed the cube’s potential, reset logic, and detailed probability on the 5th.
