More than half of the adults who received the COVID-19 vaccine, and the number of vaccinated adults has been expanded to all adults over the age of 16. However, prospects that the future will be more difficult than the first half are coming out one after another.
The Washington Post (WP) released the results of a recent poll by Axios-Ipsos on the 20th (local time), reporting that two-thirds of adults who have not yet been vaccinated have no intention of vaccinating.

45% of the recent polls also said’Never fit’
If it is like this, the total adult vaccination rate is expected to be 70%.
However, it is unclear to achieve collective immunity due to mutations, etc.
Political situation and vaccination suspension affect vaccine avoidance

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of the 18th, about 130 million people had received the vaccine more than once in the United States, accounting for 50.4% of all adults.
Of those who said they have not yet received the vaccine in the poll, 68.2% said they will not be vaccinated in the future. In particular, 45.5% of respondents said, “It will never be right.”
On the other hand, only 13.6% of respondents answered “It will be right” and 18.2% answered “Maybe it will be right.”
According to the results of this poll, the WP predicted that the final vaccination rate for adults in the United States would probably be around 70%. When Corona 19 began to spread last year, experts predicted that if 70% of the entire population had immunity, they could achieve collective immunity.
WP pointed out that although it is a forecast that runs close to this standard, it is unclear whether the target can be achieved due to the rapid spread of the mutant virus.
Intensifying political conflict is also an obstacle to vaccination. Political media, Axios, analyzed by county that the more President Donald Trump won last year’s presidential election, the more he avoided vaccination.
In addition, the recent quarantine authorities stopped vaccinating the Johnson & Johnson (Jansen) vaccine, which also raised the vaccine avoidance. The Janssen vaccine, which has been recommended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the CDC, to discontinue use as suspected cases of thrombotic side effects are reported, will decide whether to resume vaccination this week.
CNN said these effects have significantly reduced the rate of vaccination in several regions. In Mercer County, Ohio, in January, when a large-scale inoculation center was opened, more than 500 people were vaccinated every day by filling up the daily dose.
Given this situation, there are reports that in some rural areas, vaccines that were taken out for vaccination at hospitals or pharmacies are reaching the expiration date without finding the owner.
