Korean Air sales 38.4% from 2019 ↓

According to the business report of Hanjin Group’s affiliates on the 19th, Chairman Cho received 1,732 million won and 1.36 billion won respectively from Korean Air and Hanjin Cal last year.

This is a 40% increase from the total salary of 1,893 billion won in 2019, and received an additional salary of 354 million won from Korean Air and 855 million won from Hanjin Kal.
Even though bonuses were not paid due to poor performance due to Corona 19 and 50% of the annual salary was returned, Chairman Cho’s annual salary increased. After Chairman Cho was elected as chairman in April 2019 due to the death of his elder, Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho, he received the chairman’s salary for only nine months, and last year, he received the salary of the chairman all year, leading to an increase in salary.
Last year, as passenger sales declined due to Corona 19, Korean Air recorded 7.40 trillion won in annual sales, a 38.4% decrease from 2019. Operating profit was 238.3 billion won, an increase of 33.7 billion won from 2019 due to freight transportation revenue.
Meanwhile, the total salary of Korean Air employees last year was KRW 1.262.7 trillion, down 19% from 2019, and the average salary per person was 68.19 million KRW.
