A credit card without a card number comes out… Installment of annual fee is also allowed

■Improvement of 13 financial regulations

Holder’s name and expiration date must be entered

In the future, credit cards without a card number and security code (CVV) will appear on the surface.

The Financial Services Commission announced on the 21st that last year, members of the Ombudsman deliberated on 22 tasks to improve financial regulation, and that a total of 13 improvement measures were being pursued or completed.

First of all, the improvement of the related system has been completed so that card products without card number and CVV information displayed on the physical card can be released if the consumer makes a choice. It was considered that information can be checked through the card app, and card number theft can be prevented if the card is lost. However, the name and expiration date of the holder must be written on the surface. In the case of credit card annual fees, only annual billing has been possible, but since last January, monthly billing, etc., has been allowed to be paid in installments.

As the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) situation prolongs, plans are also being promoted to allow insurance agents to perform tasks in a non-face-to-face manner, such as recording. To respond to Corona 19, the obligation to face customers, which is currently being operated for a limited time, is being eased at all times. A non-face-to-face recruitment regulation plan is also being promoted so that customers can subscribe to insurance by listening to phone explanations and signing up on mobile.

In addition, the terms and conditions were revised in January so that the withdrawal and transfer limits for long-term unused accounts of savings banks’ automated teller machines (ATMs) can be lifted face-to-face. The Financial Services Commission holds Ombudsman meetings four times a year, and anyone can file a complaint if they have any complaints.
