[전국]Cat corona infection… first confirmed companion animal in Seoul

A cat that was raised by a family of corona19 confirmed patients was also confirmed.

This is the first time in Seoul that a companion animal has been confirmed.

The city of Seoul said that there are no cases of human infection from pets, so there is no need to be too anxious.

The confirmed cat is a 4-5 year old female.

After the caregiver was infected, the cat also showed symptoms of vomiting and inactivity, which was eventually confirmed.

I have no one to take care of right away, so I’m being quarantined in a temporary shelter.

The city of Seoul is testing for Corona 19 on companion animals such as dogs and cats this month.

So far, three dogs and one cat have been tested, and among them, a cat has been confirmed.

However, when walking a dog, the Seoul Metropolitan Government requested that the dog be kept at least 2m away from other people, and to follow quarantine regulations such as wearing a mask.

In the midst of this, the number of new confirmed cases in Seoul did not decline significantly despite the holiday season.

On the 14th, 151 people were infected again a day.

The number of confirmed cases related to Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu was added in Seoul alone, and the number of infected persons related to Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu also increased by 3 more.
