Prime Minister Chung said, “The World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) have each announced the results of discussions such as an expert committee on the point that’AZ vaccination and blood clots are not related.’ Considering the verification results of the same international organization and adverse reaction cases confirmed so far, we believe that there is no reason to stop the AZ vaccination currently in progress in Korea.”

Prime Minister Chung just said, “Considering the need to continue expanding the AstraZeneca vaccination, the public should not have any doubts or anxiety about the safety of the AstraZeneca vaccine.” I hope that the recent evaluation data such as WHO·EMA and domestic adverse reaction cases should be thoroughly reviewed with experts and clearly stated.”

Prime Minister Chung also said to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, “Please perform a professional and scientific evaluation on the possibility of causing blood clots of AZ vaccine and disclose the results transparently.”
