Surveillance cameras installed at Sendai Airport in Japan are greatly shaken by earthquake

At around 6:9 pm yesterday, a strong earthquake of 6.9 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture.

It is estimated that the depth of the epicenter to the north of the earthquake that occurred in the offshore of Fukushima Prefecture on the 13th of last month was 59km.

With this earthquake, shaking of the 5th river was observed in most areas of Miyagi Prefecture for nearly one minute.

The Jindo Quarter is difficult for most people to walk around without holding onto something.

Even in Doko, 400 kilometers away, a strong vibration of magnitude 3 was detected for more than 10 seconds.

A 1 meter high tsunami advisory was issued on the coast of Miyami Prefecture, but it was lifted after an hour and a half without significant damage.

The operation of the Tohoku Shinkansen, etc., was temporarily suspended, and power outages occurred in some areas of Miyagi Prefecture.

The Kyodo News Agency reported that no abnormalities caused by earthquakes were confirmed at nuclear power plants in Fukushima and Miyagi Prefectures.

Unlike the 7.3 offshore earthquake in Fukushima Prefecture last month, where one person died and over a hundred people were injured, fortunately, there was no significant human damage this time.

The Japan Meteorological Agency sees this earthquake as an aftershock of the Great East Japan Earthquake 10 years ago.
