Mayor Oh visited the Central Party of the People’s Power of Yeouido in Seoul on that afternoon and held a real estate policy council in the presence of representative authority Ho-young Joo, Policy Chairman Lee Jong-bae, and Chairman Song Seok-joon of the Party’s Real Estate Special Committee. In general, policy discussions between local governments and parties are regarded as the exclusive property of the ruling party of the government, which has the power to promote the policy. The opposition party, which had not been able to speak out about the policy due to being pushed by Geoyeo (巨與), showed a willingness to break the real estate policy of the Moon Jae-in administration thanks to the overwhelming victory of the April 7 re-evaluation.

At the meeting, Mayor Oh said, “There are many things that are difficult to solve with the sole power of Seoul, such as things to be solved with the city council, tasks to be solved with the central government such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and homework to be solved through the revision of the law of the National Assembly. I desperately need help,” he said. The agency of the state said, “The Moon Jae-in regime provides the housing welfare necessary for those who cannot buy a house, tailored support for those who are willing and able to buy a house, and guarantees comfortable housing for those who have a single house with the goal of a narrow policy aimed at reducing housing prices in Gangnam. “I’ve got it messed up,” he replied, saying, “We will cooperate with the mayor to rectify real estate policy with Oh.”

At the meeting, the power of the people and Mayor Oh gathered opinions in a large framework such as: ▶Reestablishment of the public land price standard ▶Expansion of supply through redevelopment and reconstruction ▶Reduction of tax burden related to real estate. Participants said they decided to continue discussions on specific legal enactment and amendments by attending some employees as members of the Special Real Estate Commission of the Party after the Seoul city’s greetings scheduled for this week.

The power of the people will immediately review legislation, centering on the bills initiated within the party. In February, member of the Party’s economic official Gyeong-ho Chu said: ▶ Temporary non-applied capital gain tax heavy tax rate (amendment to the Restriction of Special Taxation Act) ▶ Reduction of property tax by up to 50% for homeowners with a public price of 900 million won or less (amendment to the Local Tax Law) ▶ Abolition of the heavy acquisition tax clause (amendment to the Local Tax Law) ) ▶To increase the income deduction rate from households (amendment to the income tax law) ▶To double the monthly tax deduction rate (amendment to the Restriction on Special Taxation Act), the ‘5 Real Estate Act’ was proposed. The real estate special commission announced last year that it will implement ▶Improvement of safety examination standards (revised the Urban and Residential Environment Improvement Act), etc., also overlap with Mayor Oh’s pledge. Lee Jong-bae, chairman of the policy committee, told JoongAng Ilbo and Tonghua that “by forming a consultative body, the party will preferentially pursue the overlapping bills previously initiated by the party, such as the ‘5 Real Estate Act’.”

Mayor Oh’s newly proposed pledges were also reviewed within the party and decided to be promoted. Mayor Oh said on the day that “a new legislative task such as the pledge of a’win-win housing’ that presupposes tax benefits such as property tax, and the conversion of local tax to local tax that can be used as a source of balanced development in Gangnam-North Korea.” One participant said, “In the case of win-win housing, the taxation needs to be revised a lot, but the details of Seoul should be organized and we will review it according to the principles,” he said. “The Mayor Oh’s pledge will be empowered as much as possible at the party level.”

However, the actual process of implementing the legislation is not easy. The ruling party occupies more than half of the seats, and the administration also voices checks saying, “The central government, metropolitan local governments, and basic local governments cannot provide housing alone (deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki on the 8th)”. have. The agenda of Seoul’s self-promoting agendas, such as the reduction of floor area ratio in residential areas and the abolition of restrictions on the number of floors along the Han River, amendments to the ordinance, requires consultation with the Seoul City Council, where the Democratic Party is the majority.

The people’s strength expects “It will be difficult for the Democrats to ignore the demand for amendment of the real estate policy.” An official from the power of the people who attended the meeting said, “It is unlikely that the Democratic Party will be able to disregard the opinions of the mayor of Seoul, chosen by ten million citizens, as it used to be. It is all the responsibility of the Democratic Party. The government and the ruling party will cooperate.”
