A line of tweets made with virtual assets is selling for a whopping 3.3 billion won, and it is gaining attention.

The popularity of the so-called’NFT’, which has recently become a craze among collectors, does not know how to cool down.

Some criticize that the NFT craze is absurd and that there is a lot of bubbles.

Twitter chief executive Jack Dossie put a single line of tweets that he posted in 2006, saying, “I just set up my Twitter,” in the form of a virtual asset, NFT, or an irreplaceable token, and auctioned it on the 6th.

In two weeks, it was sold as a virtual currency worth $2.9 million and KRW 3.3 billion of our money.

The NFT craze is making a big breeze in the collection world, with Twitter records that aren’t works of art sold at high prices.

Like cryptocurrency, NFT uses blockchain technology to give digital content a unique recognition value.

Although general video, image, and music files can be copied in bulk and it is difficult to identify the original, NFT can prove that it is the original because information such as ownership and sales history is stored in a blockchain where the contents are shared with everyone.

At Christie’s auction on the 11th, Biffle’s work’Everydays: The First 5000days’, applied with this technology, was sold for 69.3 million dollars and 78.3 billion won in our money.

However, Biffle said there was a bubble in the NFT and expected this bubble to fall out someday.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, said he would auction a song in the form of an NFT, but then withdrew his sales plan when the bid soared to $112 million and our money of $1,265 million.

The voice of criticism is also rejecting the criticism that the collection value of the work is only leaned on the scarcity and the value of the name.

Alex Marlis, a film director based in Brooklyn, New York, mocked the NFT craze, saying that the’Master Collection’, an NFT for sale made by collecting farts from his and his friends, was sold for 480,000 won.

“There are speculators who want to get rich quickly instead of digital art enthusiasts behind the crazy market,” Marlis criticized, “The NFT craze is absurd.”

“If the current NFT craze shifts to other targets, NFT assets can quickly lose value,” said Sujaena Streeter, chief investment analyst at investment firm Hargreaves Lansdown.
